The town of Bansko is located at 925 m. above sea level, and its skiing area is on 2000-2500 m above sea level. There are 14 pistes totalling 65km taking you all the way home at the end of the day, including a 16 km run plus cross country and excellent off piste skiing. Bansko is popular with snowborders; facilities include a halfpipe. There is a top class ski school for all levels of ability. The ski season is one of the longest; roughly mid December until the end of April.

Bansko is located at the foot of the Pirin National Park. It is a mountain resort with a hot summer and long winter. Snow falls are abundant, providing a constant winter snow cover up to 2m thick. The region is famous for its cuisine and colourful folklore. The nearest airport is Sofia, Bulgaria’s beautiful capital city which can be reached in just 2 hours by car.
